Private lessons for children and teens
One-to-one online lessons for ages 5-17. Three options, one price: Turkish, Dutch or English. Lessons are built around the child's age and level; the explanations are in Turkish.
Three options, one price
Turkish: do not let your child growing up in the Netherlands lose their Turkish
They speak Turkish at home but cannot read or write it; phone calls with grandpa in Turkey are a struggle and they express themselves more easily in Dutch. That is the story of the second and third generation in the Netherlands: speaking stays, reading and writing fade. In one-to-one lessons your child moves, at their own age level, from letters to syllables and from short texts to their own sentences. The gain is more than language: the bond with family, the option to take Turkish as a final exam subject later at secondary school, and a bilingual future.
Dutch: close the gap in the school language, explained in Turkish
A child new to the Netherlands moves from the taalklas into a regular class, but homework, reading texts and the doorstroomtoets stay hard for a long time; truly mastering the school language takes years. The teacher at school cannot explain it in Turkish; we can. In the lesson we work on that week's school topic, vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing, and you hear in Turkish where your child stands. The goal: a child who no longer has to say "I don't understand" in class and moves forward on their own strength.
English: from zero or to strengthen the English learned at school
Whether you live in Turkey or in the Netherlands, English opens doors at school, at university and at work; but a child who stays quiet in a full classroom does not progress. In one-to-one lessons your child dares to speak: our teacher, a graduate in English Language Teaching, explains in Turkish, practises in English and keeps attention alive with games and visuals. The goal may be a school grade, preparation for an international school or simply speaking with confidence; the lesson is built around it.
The same price and the same method for all three: the lesson is built around the child's age and level, after the lesson the parent gets a short note, and progress is followed together. Our teacher Ekin Aynacı lives in the Netherlands and has taught languages to children, teenagers and adults for ten years.
How we work
- A free 20-minute introduction call with parent and child: goal and level
- Every lesson is planned at the child's level; after the lesson the parent gets a short note
- Under the age of 10 a lesson lasts 45 minutes; longer lessons work against young children
- The parent stays nearby during the lesson; the camera is on; all correspondence goes through the parent
- A lesson cancelled at least 24 hours in advance is not lost

Frequently asked questions
At what age can my child start?
Ages 5-17. We do not take children under 5, because online one-to-one lessons do not work at that age. From 18 our adult private lessons apply.
Why 45 minutes under the age of 10?
Young children have a short attention span; a 45-minute lesson is more intensive and more effective. The price is per lesson; preparation and the note to the parent are the same for both durations.
Which platform, and what does the parent do?
Zoom. The parent starts the lesson and stays nearby; with young children the parent may sit next to the child in the first lessons. We do not correspond with the child directly; everything goes through the parent.
Can we join from Turkey?
Yes. Prices are in euros; the TL amount on the Turkish pages is for information only, the exchange rate at the time of payment applies. Lesson times are planned together on Dutch and Turkish time.
Can two children share one package?
No; each child has their own package, because the lesson is built around the child. The same parent can buy separately for several children.
All prices include taxes. 1 live hour = 60 minutes.
