B2 is the level of Staatsexamen NT2 Programma II and the BIG threshold for HBO healthcare professions. The 96-hour programme is built on structured longer writing and professional communication.

Who it is for
Students who have completed B1 and want to use Dutch at a higher level at work or in education. For healthcare professionals this is the last step of the general route, followed by the B2+ BIG preparation. Candidates for Programma II practise the exam technique in the NT2 Programma II package.
For Turkish native speakers the step from B1 to B2 is estimated at 135-180 lesson hours in general comparisons; the gap to the 96 live hours is closed with preparation videos and weekly tasks. That is why the programme is divided into 2-3 modules.

What your week looks like
Preparation video
Before the live session you watch a 20-40 minute video with Turkish explanation and complete the automatic exercises. The explanation is not repeated live.
Two live sessions
Twice a week, 2 hours each. At least 70 percent of the time goes to speaking and reading, with correction by the teacher. Breakout rooms and role plays.
Weekly task and feedback
You submit a short text or voice recording; the teacher gives written feedback within two working days. Pending teacher approval
Measurement every four weeks
A skills check shows where you stand. At the end you receive a written assessment of four skills.

Frequently asked questions
Why 2-3 modules?
It depends on the group's entry profile. A group with balanced skills progresses in two modules; a clear gap in writing or speaking adds a third. The total price does not change and is visible from the start.
Is B2 enough for the BIG?
It differs by profession: MBO nurse B1, HBO professions (physiotherapist, midwife) B2, WO professions (doctor, dentist, pharmacist) B2+. A general B2 diploma does not automatically count as B2+; we have a separate preparation programme for that.
Are lessons entirely in Dutch at this level?
Largely, yes. Turkish is used where grammar comparisons or complex explanations require it, to speed up understanding, not as an escape route.
